Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if my settlement day changes or something unexpected happens and we need to reschedule?

Usually this is no problem at all. It happens a lot more often than most people realise and we do everything we can to accommodate in whatever ways are needed. Please help us to help you by giving us as much notice as you can.

Do i have to be present during the move?

We usually require somebody for approx 10 minutes at the start of a house move to discuss exactly what is to be moved unless arranged prior. From then on, you are free to leave and do whatever you wish.

Are there any items you can’t take?

We regret we are unable to transport gas bottles, fuel, paint and certain chemicals. Feel free to get in touch if you’re not sure.

What payments do you accept?

Cash, on the day phone banking, Visa or Mastercard which will incur a 2% surcharge.

Do I need to switch off the fridge before you arrive?

Generally for a local move this is not necessary. Furthermore, we will usually load the fridge onto the truck last (last on, first off) so food stays cold as long as possible. If you have an esky (chilly-bin or coolbox) or two we are happy to move these as well. In the heat of summer we suggest leaving any food in the fridge until directed by our staff to empty. All fridges and freezers should be emptied completely prior to moving.

I lost the box for my flat-screen tv. Is this ok?

We come prepared ready to move tvs, boxed or not. Generally unless you have the original box and ALL the interior packaging that came with your tv, these are best left in-situ for us to deal with.

Can you pick up or deliver at more than one address?

Certainly! Please call to discuss as we can usually fit everything in just one load.

I work from home and need my office on moving day. What do I do?

We are flexible around you and do our best to accommodate in whatever way we can.

Do you take trampolines and swing sets?

In most circumstances with some minor disassembly these can be moved in the same load as everything else.
